June 11th Lunar Celebration: Drawing Down the Fire of the Sagittarius Full Moon
Share
Fire is a complicated element.
It has caused untold destruction and loss in many communities around the world.
It has been weaponized as a tool of oppression, fear, and war.
And also...
Fire is necessary for humans to survive in diverse climates.
Fire and fire keeping has been held sacred across many different cultures.
Many plants, including our local ponderosa pine, need the gift of fire to germinate new life.
Fire is one coin with two sides. Creation and destruction. Death and life. The ultimate liminal space.
The fire energy in the world right now is smoldering. We are rapidly approaching the solstice and the energy of midsummer is already palpable. This coming full moon will be in Sagittarius, bringing the mutable fire of the archer into the skies.
What to expect...
Come gather with us to channel this vibrant fire energy. Be in circle with us as we draw down the moon to consecrate our shop altar. Bring the things you want to breathe life into and we will gather them on the altar to charge. Bring the ideas, beliefs, and symbols of things you want to celebrate or release, and we'll burn them in the cauldron after.
We aim to start ritual as close to 6pm as we can, to honor the needs of early to bed folks. Come early if you can, have some tea, settle in the space, and chat with us! We will feast after the ritual to ground and restore our physical bodies, so bring a snack to share if you can!
We can't wait to celebrate this full moon with you all, in physical presence or in spirit.
With love and blessings,
Crone & Crow
